1700-tallet i digital form

UBs brukere har i noen år hatt tilgang til den store databasen ECCO: Eighteenth Century Collections Online. Tidligere i år kjøpte vi ECCO 2 og til sammen består nå denne pakken av over 180.000 titler. ECCO består av bøker publisert i Storbritannia mellom 1701 og 1800. Det meste er engelskspråklig, men de fleste europeiske språk er representert. Du finner for eksempel over 4000 franskspråklige bøker (og to svenske!).

Alle bøkene er digitalisert og gjort søkbare. Bøkene er også tilgjenglig via Bibsys. Utskriftsmulighetene er begrenset til 50 sider om gangen.

Databasen hadde nesten 1000 besøk i løpet av fjoråret, så det er ingen tvil om at den er populær. Med denne nye utvidelsen håper vi dere brukere finner enda mer interessant i ECCO.

Tjenesten er gratis for alle UiTs ansatte og studenter via. Om du ønsker tilgang utenfor campus må du være logget på VPN.
